Account & data deletion

The current iPhone and Android apps and web beta do not create an iQStax online account. A name entered in the app is stored locally. Store purchases and your Apple or Google account are managed separately by Apple or Google Play.

Delete iPhone app data

Use the available edit and delete controls to manage individual entries or photos. To remove all locally stored app records, settings, photos, and recovery copies, first save and check a backup if you want to keep anything. Then open iPhone Settings > General > iPhone Storage > iQStax and choose Delete App. Choose Delete App rather than Offload App, which keeps documents and data. Deletion cannot be undone through iQStax; restoring a saved backup can bring records back.

Delete exported files and copies in your photo library or cloud storage separately, and manage device backups through Apple’s settings. Repeat on each device where you used the app. Deleting the app does not cancel an App Store subscription. Manage subscriptions in iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions. We cannot remotely erase records that remain only on your device.

Delete locally stored beta data

  1. Save a separate copy of any records or photos you want to keep. Do not assume that an export includes every type of entry or every photo; open and check your saved files first.
  2. Open your browser’s settings for website data or site storage, find iqstax.netlify.app, and clear that site’s stored data. Menu names vary by browser. On iPhone, look in Safari’s settings under Advanced > Website Data. In Chrome, open site settings or the site-data controls for the beta address.
  3. Repeat this for each browser, browser profile, or device where you used the beta. Deleting only myiqstax.com data does not clear the separate beta site’s entries.

This removes locally stored records, preferences, and progress photos for that site. It cannot be undone through iQStax. Removing a Home Screen shortcut alone is not a reliable way to erase browser data. Downloaded exports, original photos in your photo library, and copies you shared must be deleted separately.

Delete Android app data

Use the in-app edit and delete controls for individual records. To remove all local app records, settings, photos, and recovery copies, first export a backup if you want to keep anything. Open Android Settings > Apps > iQStax > Storage & cache > Clear storage, or uninstall the app. Menu names vary by device; clearing cache alone does not remove all records. Delete exported backups and shared copies separately. Restoring a backup can bring records back.

Uninstalling does not cancel Google Play subscriptions. Open Google Play > your profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions to manage or cancel. Local records cannot be remotely erased by us.

Leave the optional Android newsletter

Use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter or email info@myiqstax.com from your subscribed address to request removal of your email and signup information from the newsletter services. Clearing app data does not remove a newsletter signup held in Cloudflare or Brevo.

Leave the launch email list

To unsubscribe or request deletion of your signup information, email info@myiqstax.com from the address you signed up with. Clearing your browser data does not remove an email signup stored in Cloudflare.

Request help or delete support correspondence

Email info@myiqstax.com with the subject “iQStax data deletion request”. Tell us whether you need help clearing local data or want information held through support deleted. Use the email address involved in the support conversation; do not include health records or passwords. We may need to verify the request and explain any required retention. We cannot remotely erase data stored only on your device or in your browser.

If a future version introduces accounts, its account-deletion process and any retention exceptions will be published here before launch. Deleting data and cancelling a paid subscription are separate actions.
